Thinking About A New Digital Camera, Advise Please:

I used the Hasselblad for studio work, photographing my art work for reproduction purposes so the photos had to me exact. I got the Leica R 6.2 because a I had a Contax 139 SLR at one time that got ruined by a Wright Whale when I got too close to it in Argentina. I still have the lenses from the Contax and the Leica. I still have the Contax T2 which I really like for traveling and I still haven't seen the picture quality like it from any digital camera.

Oh yes, I really liked Luminous Landscapes review of the Fuji T1, Thanks, I'm going to look into it.

I'm from the old school of film cameras, having a Hasselblad 500 C/M, Leica R 6.2 SLR and a Contax T2 for travel.

I would like a digital camera that doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles, but mostly manual photography. I don't do movies or panaramas or much of sports. I do like a very fast lens so I don't need a flash. I would like all the necessary controls easy to grasp without wading through a menu. The camera should be small like the Contax T2. In other words I like a digital camera with all the controls in place like a film camera and has no complex menu's. Any suggestions?
The Contax T2 is pretty much a point and shoot with a 38mm lens? It sounds as though you want to go back shooting with manual focus lenses but you're really using an all automatic high end point and shoot?

For your legacy lenses there are adapters for the e-mount and the Sony A7, in it's many iterations, seems to be most frequently used with adapted lenses. It's the cheapest full frame option and has been going for less than $800 in some overseas markets although prices remain stubbornly high in the United States, despite the appearance of the second generation. The downside is that Sony's product plans are far from clear. Be prepared to buy another orphan.

To be honest, Canon is the only profitable camera company, and third party adapters do exist for both the Yashica/Contax mount and the Leica R. You'll be doing your own light metering. Buy yourself a Canon 6D for less than $1,400, adapters for both C/Y and R-mount lens, and invest in the very sharp 40mm F/2.8 pancake lens for only $150. Have fun.

leica m9p all your leica lenses will work on it and it will work just like your old one just with some more buttons and a screen. and if that is a tad too expensive check out the x100s

The OP apparently has Leica R-mount and Contax/Yashica mount lenses, not Leica M-mount!

I would also go with the Panasonic LX100 if full manual controls are needed, and you don't mind the larger size.

Size-wise the Sony RX100 is more in line with the size of Contax T2.

Oh,didn't get that.well there is always adapters.
