The theme for Week # 7 is: ***Dramatic Skies***

I’m always in awe of what I see in the sky. The images I manage to get are never as ‘jaw dropping’ as the real thing but they remind me that we are just tiny specs on this planet.

Please post your sunrises, sunsets, storms, clouds, lightening strikes…hope you get the idea.

My next post will show several of mine.

the cut and paste to be carried forward:

Sharing Photos, stories about the photos, interesting themes, shared life experiences, let it all hang out. ‘Photographs’, ‘Shots’, ‘Snaps’, ‘Quick Grabs’, whatever, no judging here.

The forum is about Olympus Compact Cameras but this is about the people, photography enthusiasts all, who happen to be here, not the cameras that brought us here.

Guidelines

1. Not a competition, just to keep the fun going, Host picks 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, (and honorable mentions if so inclined).

2. 1st place selects the next theme. If 1st place unable to host, 2nd place becomes host, etc.

3. Host starts new thread: SHARING PHOTOS , Week #….., Theme: ***______***? Host explains chosen theme, and posts a few sample photos to get it going.

4. Cut and paste the guidelines into the new thread.

5. Label Shared Photos, either: ‘Entry’ (3 max), if willing to host; or ‘Exhibition’ to show, (unlimited, encouraged) if not wanting/able to be eligible for hosting the next theme.

6. Any camera, any time, including links to something amazing worth sharing for the theme.

7. Comments on other peoples photos add to the fun, may be the best part of it.

8. Stories, reasons, situations, whatever, encouraged, (not required).

9. Thread lasts one week, from when posted; host gives deadline in initial post.

........................................

This Shared Photo week ends next Tuesday, 12/09/14, noon, EST.

My little part of Texas has different light shows depending on the season. I have found that because all of our trees have grown around my home that I will be forced to build a little deck on my roof if I want to shoot any more sunsets in relative comfort.

Early morning in S. Louisiana. The sun was not up. Looking west. I am curious what made the light rays,it was a full moon.

Here are a few taken from Everglades national park while fishing and camping out.

Sunset, you can walk across this bay.

Another Sunset

Older cameras worked good when the MP count was still low. Life is good!
