I love B & H but...

Anyone else notice the frequently sloppy packaging?
No. Consistently careful.
By the time the box arrives, looks like it's about to fall apart?? Sturdier box with better tape would be nice.
No. New stiff white box and strong brown reinforced paper tape (all around), always.

Inside, bubble wraps and air pillows aplenty. Small items put into B&H-branded red plastic bag to avoid scattering.

Totally professional.

Call them if you want to tell them about your actual observations. I did call them to to let them know about my satisfaction.

If it had been "frequently sloppy," I would simply stop buying my expensive toys from them.

That's an easy solution to a "serious" first-world problem.

Imagine a few years from now, a thread complaining about home delivery drone being noisy and dropping oil on the lawn!
I've had over a dozen orders over the years with B&H and have never had a white box. That's interesting.

White, off white, whatever. Thick and strong -- yeah!

I'm very sorry if you received a package which was mishandled in transit. If you can send photos of the box as delivered we can bring that to UPS.

I've been buying from B&H for many years. Don't recall ever having a "packaging" issue.

Most good businesses like B&H truly do want to hear about any problems. As others have indicated in your thread, I would also suggest that you contact them.

I ordered a Tokina 11-16mm lens & B+W filter the packaging was in good shape. However, the Tokina lens box looked like it fell from an 8' high shelf -- two of the corners were caved in. I contacted B&H's customer service to make sure that the condition of the box was on record. The lens seemed to be in good working order...thus far.
 
Been buying from them for almost 15 years. Never had an issue with packaging of any kind.

As noted, tell them.

Its been that way as long as I can remember, usually the manufacture packing is enough to keep stuff safe rolling around inside the B&H box and the couple times I has shipping damage they sent me the RMA within hours of submitting the issue.

Packing and returning email, thats the only issues I have ever had with them.... and I live in NJ so everything is pretty much overnight to me :)
