Back Creek Pond #2, (Fernauld Brook) Kennebunk ME
Back Creek Pond #2, (Fernauld Brook) Kennebunk ME

One of those fall days in Maine...threatening rain and a rain of leaves. I photograph this little pond in all seasons, but fall is my favorite. Sony HX400V 24mm equivalent in camera HDR. Processed in Lightroom on my Surface Pro 3 tablet. Camera resting just about on the ground inches from the foreground leaves using the flip out LCD. :)
Another Fine entry...I did some camping a few times in Maine in my younger years on the Great Northern Paper property.

Old Falls on the Mousam River

Old Falls on the Mousam River

This is a sweep panorama, with the camera held in portrait orientation. Sony HX400V. I have been waiting for this sky in this place all fall, and drove out to the falls when I saw it coming. Processed in Lightroom on my Surface Pro 3 tablet.
Also like this one!

Lovely image of that beautiful scene!

Great job of capturing this classic shot! Wish I was one of the fishermen....

Hi fellow DPR-ers!

Some photos I took at Central Park last year - managed to catch the last couple of weeks of fall colours.

I'm a recent photography enthusiast, so all constructive criticism is welcome :-)

These were taken on my RX100 Mk2 (now sold), all JPEGs with some minor enhancements on Snapseed (most are auto-enhanced)

And finally, the NYC marathon was the same day as my walk, so a final one (using the on-camera miniature effect)

Sure do like that first one!!

The second one is superb!!

Critique: you should walk through the park more often! ;-)

You have a great eye! My favorite is the first one. Elegant composition.

The second is also good, but I would like to see more detail in the sky if possible. Sometimes it isn't...but sometimes it can be brought up in post-processing, or captured using in camera HDR.

Really beautiful, Marti!

Thanks for the encouragement. Composition is what I want to work on actively, and have been reading / viewing photographs for inspiration :)

Re: the details in the sky - I wanted to capture that, but the basic Manual settings and polarizer I used evidently didn't work. Not a post-processer (as yet anyway), but I plan to pick it up in time.

I like it, Marti! The mushroom on the top right looks like it's got teeth. I'd stay well clear of it, and hope it's in a good mood.

Awesome scene and beautiful lighting. I can virtually hear the creek rushing by.
