Hi

I have purchased the Sony a6000 and currently learning it.

I have installed Playmemories Mobile ver. 5.0.1 and connected the phone (Galaxy S4 i9500 OS 4.4.2) to the camera.

However I noticed that the only thing I can do in the app is change the exposure compensation and take the shot. Thats it!!

I cannot control all the other settings like ISO, mode, aperture and SS.

Do I have to do anything else in order to have those controls available?

once the camera is connected in play memories, go back to the menu on the camera and there you will find choices.

It requires an updated version of smart remote app on the camera itself. The embedded version that comes with the camera has very limited capability. However, Sony has recently removed this camera app update from its web site. So, you are stuck with this very basic feature set until Sony releases those updates again either via online or via a updated firmware for A6000.

That's too bad. I really wanted to use this app and test these controls.

Do you know when Sony will release it?

I don't work for Sony. So there is no way I or anyone else know when Sony will release it. Only Sony knows. They don't even give a reason why the update was removed in the first place.
