Barred Owl. Incredible how they blend with their environment.

Very nice!

Beautiful

I like the owl's camo, and the hawk's sentry guard stance and look that says, "You don't want to mess with me!"

Gorgeous shots! I like how that owl camouflaged in the tree. What is the working distance for these shots? I am planning on getting 55-210 too and couple it with Olympus TC.

Doing some back-digging in the forum as I've been away for vacation for 5 days and playing catchup since, so I missed some photo threads. When I saw birds on page two, I knew I had to look! ;)

Love that owl shot - really shows the camo well with the tree right behind him - an example of where subject isolation might not have told that part of the story. The hawk on the other hand does well with the isolation - looking suitably serious as hawks always do!

Nice work.

Great to see Lee, got some nice poses there and that Owl is a gorgeous one. Very well done and good to see that combination at work. Keep them coming.

All the best Lee, love them and hope to see more when you can.

Danny.

I think these pictures would look much better with minus green dominance, and a lesser contrast. There is something strange in the colors, IMHO.

Thanks. I would guess about 60 feet/18 meters. They were taken through a window. Lee
