Seeing as it has a micro 4/3 sensor; by definition it looks like it should be on that forum. However it is definitely a compact camera and the LX series has always been on the compact forum. Which forum do you think should be its official home?

I was meaning to ask the same thing. The way I see it, here will be the best. And maybe go to the M4/3 to see to see what's being discussed there. After all, it's still an LX Series Compact camera, as is the FZ1000 with the 1" sensor.

micro 4/3 sensor ? Does not exist.

Obviously, it is not a micro 4/3 camera. It belongs to panasonic camera forum.

Or may be you think Sony RX100 is part of the nikon one system ?

I believe it's the camera's form factor - not its sensor - that defines these forum affiliations. The LX100 has a 4/3 sensor and takes photos - other than that has little to do with micro 4/3. u4/3 should be reserved for MILC.

Symantics, you know what I meant.

Sorry, but it is not so obvious. It is both: a compact camera, with a 4/3 sensor.

"Panasonic Compact Camera Talk the place to discuss Panasonic digital cameras (Micro Four Thirds models should be discussed on the Micro Four Thirds Talk forum)"
Or may be you think Sony RX100 is part of the nikon one system ?
I have no idea what this sentence accomplishes or is trying to get at.

If you have nothing beneficial to add please keep your fingers away from the keyboard. The rest of us will discuss this with some thought and respect.

I'd say here since it's not ILC. Most still see it as an LX series camera which by name it still is.

Would it hurt to have some inputs from people who have this camera?

Or, should it be our concern who can post here owning a Panasonic camera?

I see in this forum photos shot with Olympus Ricoh/Pentax cameras.

I've nothing against it...

It's fixed lens and an LX. So, here.

Sensor size is not enough to make a camera part of a a system. RX100 share the same sensor size as Nikon One cameras,...
