Peace for all ,

A lot of rumors flying everywhere about a d700 replacment ,

someone agrees , other refuses , but i think it will be a logical step from NIKON .

Really we miss an FF body with medium resolution , good buffer , high ISO performance , good AF and tracking ... , best then the d700 , in a logical price .

we can't find all of that in the d600/610 or the d800/800e/810 either .

we want a d710 with :

- d810 body .

- d810 video features .

- d4s sensor .

- d4s AF .

- Df ISO performance .

- price under 3000$ .

Is that a big dream ? dear NIKON .

Dear Wassim al Malak,

We hear you. We are going to release the D750 soon which will satisfy most of your requests above. You have asked for 16mp sensor, we are giving you more in the form of a 24 MP sensor.

Regards,

Nikon.

is that a joke ?

if YES , it is not funny .

No offense to the OP, but..

It continually amazes me that people think that the designers and product managers at Nikon (Canon, Olympus, et al) read these forums.

Even if they did, it's highly unlikely that they'd give a rat sandwich about the opinions, comments, suggestions, and product specs posted here.

why is it a joke ?

where you find that joke ?

I must say I find these posts comical. We all expect specs from all the top end cameras yet expect a price much less than any of them. I'd love to see all those specs for under 3000 but dont see it happening. Nikon isnt gonna give a Porsche for the price of a Ford so to speak. All I know is I cant wait to see what happens. Am almost decided on an 810 to jump into the FX world but waiting to see what happens in next few weeks.

Why is it "logical" to take all of the best bits of the best cameras and expect to have them combined for less money than any of them? Seems most illogical to me.

Still, maybe we could have the D810 sensor in the Df body with a good manual focusing screen and the D4s AF all for under 2K. How about that for a dream? Any more logical?

Or that they read these forums and the think I'll make that camera because a couple of people said they want these particular features that no one else wnats.

Exactly.

Price under $3,000???

You are dreaming

Integrated large grip. I bought the F5 and not the F4 for this one reason. Still mulling over whether I should buy an F6 since it uses a separate bolt-on grip.
I say go for it!

Never happen. All I want is the flip-down AI tab from the Df [and some older film bodies]. They should put it on every body that costs over $2000.

Or offer a service to update my D810 w/ the Df AI ring.

Or sell me the Df AI ring and I'll figure out how to install it.

I'd rather have Nikon reintroduce their magnificent in-house AI conversion service.

Officially AI-converted lenses look top-notch - they don't look converted at all unless you look for it - compared to most of the aftermarket hackjobs (cutting into the aperture ring and gluing on ADR numbers).
