i would have thought a lot of Olympus users would possibly have a few OM lenses about ... I know i do :(

tell me about it, but the quality lens design and construction of the speed booster is worth it.

Here is my OM lens mounted via SB on my Nex 5R. Gives my 24mm f2.8 OM lens close to 24mm focal length on an APS-C body with an advantage of 1 stop of light!

What a great rig! True Finder, touch-screen, speed boosted OM 24mm, excellent video of NEX5. This setup gives near full-frame performance for a fraction of the price. I am seriously thinking of buying a NEX5T today, when the prices are so great from second hand buyer perspective. The True Finder is still quite expensive, though. I am a Metabones Speed Booster fan, too. I regard Speed Booster as part of the system, it is glued to my camera: all my lenses are compatible with my Speed Booster (I don't use AF lenses at all). Speed Booster converted my APS-C camera into a (near) full-frame system.

Speed Booster is for manual focus aficionados, who prefer lenses to camera bodies.

Thanks, I got my 5r and finder last year for a really good cheap run out price brand new for just over $300USD with no lens. I really enjoy using the trufinder thanks to it's very high resolution, excellent focus peaking feature. and it's ability to articulate up to 90 degrees vertical. Also I have the optional LCD cover/hood, so if needed I can use the articulating LCD in bright daylight thanks to the shade, plus when using only the tru finder, the LCD is completely concealed.

The Metabones Speedbooster OM-m43 is expensive but an amazing piece of optics.

I'm very, very happy with the OM Speedbooster on my EM-1. It gave new life to many of my OM-Zuikos. From an earlier posting:
Without the Speedbooster, especially the bright Zuikos were very disappointing. What I learned from the Metabones whitepaper, is that the optical filter in front of the sensor is responsable for the bad results. And they are right: the Speedbooster corrects for the influence of the filter - a miracle!

I found the OM-Zuiko 35/2, 85/2, 300/4.5, 500/8 and 85-250/5 really suprising. The macros were simply astonishing.

In this posting you can see some examples:

And two more below.

Best regards,

Erwin
