In order to enable Epson Connect...meaning I can send an email message with pictures to my printer and have them printed remotely....I need the printer's (unique I presume) email address. Instructions say it can be found on the "network status sheet" printed out by pushing the panel button.

OK, I have the status sheet....but nothing specifically identified as an email address. There is an IP address and subnet mask...and primary (and secondary) DNS address....but I don't think those are it.

Then under a section names <BONJOUR>...listed as "enabled", there is a Bonjour Name....Epson5XXXXX.local. .....which looks promising...and is repeated as Host Name.

Anyone have a clue?

Just found a compatibility chart and the 1430 is not compatible with remote or email printing, but apparently will work with an Epson iPrint app.....which I probably would never use.

WiFi enabled models can use the router's WiFi facility to print from both computer and smartphone, tablet, etc. However, the 1400/1430 are not WiFi enabled printers BUT if you really want to make them WiFi enabled, there are WiFi devices that can make them so. A smartphone/tablet running on the Android OS can use the Epson APP, iPrint, to send through the router items, including e-mails, for printing but that would not be via WiFi as the printer, without the expensive WiFi adapter, can only receive data through a USB printer cable.

Zone8,

The 1430 IS a wifi printer. I do it daily.........sometimes.

The Epson iPrint app 4.1.0 SAYS it runs on iOS 5.0 or higher.....says it should run on my iTouch. Am I missing something? I am curious...and trying. I'll let you know.
