**** Weekly Wildlife Thread 8-23 to 8-28 ****

A beautiful creature in a beautiful setting, beautifully captured. Very well done.

I don't know what's lesser about these, Yuki :-) Superb shots, as usual. No matter the camera.

Well, Wiggy, I'm not in the UK but I'll guess a female House Sparrow.
Anyone know what this bird is eating the nyjer seeds in my back garden??? Im from the UK

Please Mr. Ichiro Kitao, give me a Wildlife Zoom camera (WZ) with a 200 - 1200mm reach and able to take a TC, and with a fast lens and all the goodies to make it fast operationally.

Cant help you with ID, from this side of the pond. Some type of finch I think.

Great feather detail in #1, and I do believe those are blue tailed bee eaters in #2.

Cute ducks Karen! How interesting one has a yellow beak and the other black.

Beautiful bird, which I rarely see here in Los Angeles.

At 100% the detail is breathtaking! You were very close for only 300mm, maybe you run a TC like so many birders.

Thanks for sharing.

What a cutie!! And I just don't know how you do it Vickie, your focus is spot on and your images are so smooth and natural. If it wasn't for the EXIF data, I would swear you use a DSLR.

Great BIFs! Do I understand you correctly that GM1 + 100-300mm is your choice for BIFs?

What a beautiful little bird! And his beak looks about two sizes too large for his body :-)

Beautiful shot, I think they are one of the cutest birds around.

Very cool lighting on the deer. What kind of animal is the first one? Looks like our raccoon but different.

Gorgeous image Lee! It's like an Impressionism painting.

Oh, the poor little guy! I didn't know they can actually fall out of trees but I guess it could happen.
