In what sense? Type of card, speed or file format?
You do not format it in the PC, you format it using the command in the A58 menu.

Often best to read the instructions first I find just to establish the parameters of speed and maximum capacity. As for manufacturers, well that's a coin-toss depending on read/write speed, capacity and type. Some like the Sandisk and Lexar brands and others are quite happy with the likes of the Transcend 32GB Ultimate SDHC 600x Class 10 cards, though it may depend on what your requirements are.
Depending on versions/types, you can find these cheaply enough on Amazon, Play.com, MyMemory and 7DayShop (7DS).

If you're in the UK and a Topcashback member, many retailers are listed and you will get an additional rebate (it's free to join BTW) and also look out for any additional online retailer discount codes for an additional discount. Also 7DayShop (7DS) have an excellent memory card case in black for £2.49 delivered or in yellow for £3.49 delivered which can be bought directly or via Amazon for slightly more money (but you also have to add postage) should you need such card storage and 7DS are listed on TopcashBack and you can get a rebate of between 2.02% - 3.03%.

Actually you should format it (with Quick Format in the PC when you get it, and every so often, this maps out bad sectors the quick format (in PC or Camera don't catch)
But even then you then format it in the Camera before using it (which I believe uses ExFat)

If it's the actual formatting of the memory card in your computer then I would recommend you check out the SD Association's web site : www.sdcard.org/home and look at their free SD card formatter program ( Win PC & OS X Mac) under the "Downloads" tab on the left of the screen.
Read what it is and how it works. The manual is available for download also. It's what I use on the SD cards for my A77 m1.
