Fewer sunset pictures?

That would be a relief.

But we would still get cat pictures, right?

If DPR ever gets around to testing the Q, hopefully they will include colour charts like the ones they used here.

Hi Guys,

May just be a silly point but I take it you are all basing your judgements on this, and the other images displayed in the many Quatro posts, on Quality Monitors, in current and accurate calibration ?
Yes. At least I am.
If not, there is not much of a baseline for you all to share. :-(

But then, what would I know about such matters. ;-)
Even if it's not calibrated, you can see the Yellow on Cyan resolution loss. The color moire may be more difficult to see.
Thank you for asking a "checklist question" - it's good to double check.

If a shot is taken of a resolution chart of color X on a color Y background. With the Foveon M - the resolution would be the same independent of X and Y. I would like to see this experiment run with a Q sensor - particularly yellow on blue, red on blue and yellow on red and all the above on green.
Isnt there another thread with this? As far as yellow on green or red there is no problem that I have seen on my test charts, but for some special cases of yellow on blue or cyan. Something goes wrong in the conversion.

When I get time to finish the test I'll post my findings.

Special cases? I can think of sunset pictures being affect. A common subject.
I doubt that
yellows don't occur with blue skies in sunsets?

I sure hope they do a review. However, I wonder if the status of SPP will not impact that.

I would LOVE to see them do a head-to-head of the DP2 Quattro against the new Pentax 645Z, the Sony A7r with the 35mm f2.8 lens, and if it's available by the time of the test, the Nikon D810 with Nikon's 35mm f1.4 G or the Sigma 50mm f1.4 A.
