I do not like skin made smooth and flat in pp...I rather emphasize skin structure.

I do not like skin made smooth and flat in pp...I rather emphasize skin structure.
I agree that over processed skin is un-interesting to look at. Here, her chin seems much smoother than the rest of her face. Probably due to the large aperture. The lighting seems too flat, like it could use a little more highlight, especially on her forehead.

I disagree. I think the light and the DOF perfectly draw the viewer to the eye. I'm going to have to seriously consider using low key techniques more in the future. This is mage is inspiring

One thing I just noticed: is the nose a bit enlarged due to short focal length? I can't tell for sure, not knowing the subject.
