It is sad that Canon, by burying some nasty "easter eggs" in their last 3 "1D" models, has lead customers to spontaneously and instinctively come up with that kind of "wishbone" comments.

Can't you see the shadows pattern?...It's was taken the middle of the day...I'll bet the missus was conveniently (and productively) busy at work.

No idea about such Amsterdam receipts but like you I have yet to hear of anyone asking and getting one in the UK??? ...........................perhaps I do not go the "right" type of shops ;-)I know of certain 'establishments' in Amsterdam that they provide this type of receiptAnd I bet if she somehow spots the camera it 'only cost $500'. Here in the UK the smaller independent shops are normally quite happy to write out out a 'wife receipt' for whatever value you specify...No way...!
