Is this a good deal? D7000 w/18-105 $675

New D7000 w/18-105 for $675

What do you think?
Is the 18-195 a new lens.

Go to KEH.com, go to sell use gear link and enter this specific camera and lens. You can select the condition to get an idea of what they will pay for these items.

If they pay $400 for everything this seller is making a heck of a profit for you to pay $700 for this used.

Next, go to Ebay and look for the same items, but you have to look at the completed listing for the item to see what the average people have paid for this used. You may have to look the lens and body up separately then add those completed auction numbers.

Generally if the camera is not discontinued take about 50% less what the dealer will pay and then add 20%. The first number is what again the dealer pays for the item and then what they sell it for.

Ebay and Paypal take an average of 15% in fees alone charged to the seller up to $250 (ebay).

...had to edit the typing mistake. it is 18-105, not 18-195. It is a brand new kit, original wrapped box.

I own both the camera and the lens you are considering. I didn't take time to look up the lens, but believe it sells new for around $400. The D7000 is going for about $500 used. So at 50% of the price of a new 18-105 or $200 and say another $500 for the camera, you are looking at $700. Seems like a fair price for the combo, depending on condition of the lens and camera - I bought my D7000 for $475 with a little over 5000 shutter clicks.

I seems like an okay deal, it is a little bit on the high side. It depends on the shutter count. The lens I'm not crazy about. Does the lens have any vibration reduction or image stabilization?

The D7000 is a very good iteration of the upper entry level camera. A very solid machine.

Why you rely to a post if you do not know your anything about the product?

I would certainly think that everyone on this Nikon forum knows that the Nikon 18-105mm is a VR lens.

Don't want to start a fight, but I am tired of seeing some stupid questions and equally stupid answers on this forum , and it is getting very boring to read the same old questions time and time again.

In answer to your post, and in my opinion , the asking price of the combo is fair. The lens go for about $200 on ebay used quite often , and the body of the camera was over $1000 not too very long ago. The D7000 is a great camera , and not very far behind the D7100 in many respects. The lens is a very good kit lens , and unless you are after pro lenses , it will do what you ask of it.

How?

As far as I can read, the OP said New D7000 - and a brand new kit.

The lens I'm not crazy about. Does the lens have any vibration reduction or image stabilization?

An iteration of an upper entry level camera ...??? I see.

How is it an iteration - and which DX would be Next consumer level camera at the time for the D7000's release.?

Great camera, lens and a good deal new IMO. Get an inexpensive 35mm 1.8 and you will be good to go for a very long time (unless doing serious wildlife which would require a longer lens)

No

I have no idea what others are telling you.

But if it's a new camera and lens then it's a great deal. I was actually looking at some D7000 prices yesterday and new body is typically around $700, refurbished are around $600 and used are around $500-550. These are all body only prices.

So yes, if new with valid warranty then it's a great deal. Just be careful it is not one of those bait and switch shops.
