Well, wrong Cubitt - these are by Thomas Cubitt, a peer of William but no relation (although he had a brother William of his own). Equally prolific in his field as a master-builder, he was also responsible for the facade of Buckingham Palace.

This golden orb weaver spider spun its web just outside my family room window. To give you a sense of scale, the big part of the body is about 2cm long.

a bit too much post-processing for my taste but otherwise very well done!
Besides some adjustments in Lightroom not much PP here. All were long Exposure shots with an ND filter. But thanks.
 
I particularly like the 2nd last with the 56mm. Just ve to say it.
 
I'm very much the maturer, and learning the X100s.

I thought I'd experiment with bokeh so the following 3 photos are at f5.6, f8.0 and f11.0:
