Visual deception, not banding

I thought this might be worthy of a post - how our visual cortex can deceive, in this case with apparent banding. What's actually happening is that there is railing and plant stem bokeh creating verticals which my brain, at least, starts to connect to give the illusion of a banding issue. Sorry the composition's pants, but then there might be nothing to see had it been better.

Maybe it's my monitor, but I don't get the impression of banding in this image
