Great shots Ron. Looks like a small heron . . .are they about same size as a little green heron do you know?

Black-crowned Night-Herons are slightly larger, with thicker, shorter bills than Green Herons .

Nice shots,

The red eyes look more alive than the Herons here in the south of France (heron cendré) which have yellow eyes and look dead and slightly prehistoric.
