ROTFL!!Have you ever thought the problem might be your dog and not the camera?
This breed is known for their softness and are not very sharp.
Return the dog.

I say, soothe yourself, not the photographer's fault. Not the eager canine's...see, he's just asking, "Won't you jump into the water and play?"At the risk of being accused of having low standards, I'd say the eyes are sharp enough.
However, I only viewed the snap at 100%. Perhaps at 200% or 300% I would see that focus is off by a millimeter.
Sigh, the curse of low standards.

Lol, if you had waited for the dog to turn its head towards you, then your image would be more 'Neil-like'. Either way, I would still give Neil the award - your image would only capture the eyes, and not the snout, in focus and I can't even see the tail!Yep, but this does too...would like to see some indoors shots Neil...Not sure if I have a bad camera?

Test shot with new 42.5 f/1.2...Just looking for some feathers, hair, or fur from A6000 indoors in similar lighting Henry, to see how the A6000 compares indoors for hair, feathers, or fur...be interesting to compare...Lol, if you had waited for the dog to turn its head towards you, then your image would be more 'Neil-like'. I think that you also should add a camera/owner alert for shallow DOF images

Mr Ichiro Kitao, I support the call to upgrade the FZ50.
I will not only buy one but two no questions asked...
Would be great especially under indoor lighting only, just to compare, this was with only available kitchen lighting at night...EM1 did very well with 42.5 f/1.2, it should, the 42.5 is excessively expensive, but a very nice lens that performs flawlessly and AF works no matter how dim the light or how backlit the subject is, so yes very expensive but very impressive...I would, if I had a6000 and FE 55.Test shot with new 42.5 f/1.2...Just looking for some feathers, hair, or fur from A6000 indoors in similar lighting Henry, to see how the A6000 compares indoors for hair, feathers, or fur...be interesting to compare...Lol, if you had waited for the dog to turn its head towards you, then your image would be more 'Neil-like'. That is a fairly well lit scene actually requiring a 7.3EV exposure and also good contrast. It also helps that the dog has grey and black hair.Would be great especially under indoor lighting only, just to compare, this was with only available kitchen lighting at night...EM1 did very well with 42.5 f/1.2, it should, the 42.5 is excessively expensive, but a very nice lens that performs flawlessly and AF works no matter how dim the light or how backlit the subject is, so yes very expensive but very impressive...I would, if I had a6000 and FE 55.Test shot with new 42.5 f/1.2...Just looking for some feathers, hair, or fur from A6000 indoors in similar lighting Henry, to see how the A6000 compares indoors for hair, feathers, or fur...be interesting to compare...Lol, if you had waited for the dog to turn its head towards you, then your image would be more 'Neil-like'. This dog looks half old half young. What setting did you use? Zebra?
