I have a D7100 and I have 1000$. I want to buy a telephoto zoom, but I have some Ideas but Need your help.

FIRST: I PLAN to shoot all kinds of photography. From portraits to high speed sports and stuff such as.

I own a SIGMA 17-50mm F/2.8

Which of the following is my best Decision?

1: Spend what I Have and get a SIGMA 50-150mm F/2.8 OS

OR is that focus system too slow for professional sport photography?

2: Save up 100 Or so for a full frame SIGMA 70-200mm F/2.8 OS

OR is the 70mm Focal length not wide enough for a lens of its purpose? If it is, than allow me to list the third one.

3: Go all out, and save up 400$ And get a Tamron 70-200mm f/2.8 VC

I really have no doubts for this one, other than its 70mm Minimum focal length Possible Issue.

IS 70mm too tight for the lenses purpose? or is it fine?

You might be able to find a Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR used. This is the previous model to the VR2 that is outstanding with an APS-C camera. You might be able to find a good one in the $1200 to $1500 price range.

I seen the VR1's but theyre all is n acceptable condition and stuff. Do you really think that old lens is sharper than the new tamron 70-200?

The conclusion of the following review on the Tamron 70-200 VC indicated a few faults. I doubt if the build is as good as the older Nikon.

While not as sharp as the newer VRII, the VRI is still a sharp lens. According to DXO the Nikon 70-200 VR1 performs identically to the newer 70-200 f4 when used on a D7100. Take your pick, f4 or f2.8 for the same IQ. The new f4 is probably a better bet than worrying about a used f2.8. The OP said that a 2.8 was desired.

Sounds like you want the tammy. Just get the lens you want, and start shooting pictures. You can waste a lot of time collecting opinions, when the only one that matters is yours.

Heh, my opinion by the way, is that the older 70-200 Nikkor is an excellent lens that can deliver the goods. Decide if you want to compare specs or make pictures.

If I had the Sigma 17-50, I definitely would choose another Sigma to partner it with... for both look and functions.

The 50-150 is the better lens of the Sigma ones... http://www.photozone.de/nikon--nikkor-aps-c-lens-tests/836-sigmaex5015028dcos

If you go to the Nikon and - heaven forbid! :-D - you're anything like me, you'll soon be very annoyed about the "reversed" zoom- and focus rings, and will begin to look for a replacement of your 17-50mm....

I've shot a couple cycling races with the Sigma 50-150mm. It focuses very very fast. I can highly recommend. It's also super sharp so it allows for a lot of cropping.

I am now thinking about this:

the SIGMA 50-150 OS? or the Older 70-200 VR I by nikon. As of this point, SHARPNESS is priority.
The Sigma would be the sharper of the two if you are happy with the 150 vs 200.

Easy, you can still buy an 80-200D for that. You can buy a secondhand one for half that. You can buy a secondhand 70-200 IS for that! Try to get the most recent one you can find as they have only a 10 year life. If you check out OLD secondhand 80-200mm f2.8s there is still the AFS unstabilized available that covers full-frame well and focusses like greased lightning. Pre millenial japanese lenses last well usually but check with Nikon first that they can still replace AF motors on these lenses.

The nikkors are your best bet as their AF is Nikon AF made for the D7100.
