image quality between ISO 100 and 400 compared to everything else out there?

PS:

Since there are no samples available yet (RAW, that is), but rather curiously some people already seem to have made up their mind abbout this (based on the new DP Quattro body design, for instance, as ridiculous as that sounds), I'm sure that this question will elicit lots of definitive answers (Roland K: your ususual 'hm, maybe' doesn't qualify. Mr Truman P: please don't bore us with more pseudo-scientifc BS; D Millier: please, don't!).

No!

This should be fun to watch.

You have essentially stated that the data is not yet available and that opinions contrary to your own are not desired; what is it you are hoping to hear?

Pity.

Edit: I actually have not stated anything about the DP2 Quattro - just asked a question. Since I have not stated anything about the DP2 Quattro, I can not possibly desire opinions about a not stated opinion not to be voiced.

Where have all the people gone, who can read and comprehend what they have read?

More speculation, can we all wait a few weeks when it comes out before posting more threads like this?

that dared to go as boldly as mine (ie that the DP2 Quattro will beat anything out there in image quality between ISO 100 and 400)?

This is just another post that confiirms the widespread reading incomprehension rampant (?) on the Internet (?).

mroy,

What a pointless question. We'll all know when the Q hits the streets.

I really doubt it would beat anything in the MF territory, FF possibly, but it's just speculation.

Re: Will the new DP2 Quattro deliver the bestimage quality between ISO 100 and 400 compared to everything else out there?
Pixel quality (100%): possibly
Resolution: no
Dynamic range: no

Your reply, that is.

PS:Actually, I don't really know what dynamic range is and, more importantly perhaps, how important that 'unknown' thingy is.

PPS: Same goes for resolution, I'm afraid (looks like I'm not really fluent in curent digital photography parlance).

PPPS: Darn - same goes for pixel quality. What is a pixel again and how does one define the quality of a pixel? Beats me, somehow.

But you'll be surpised about all the 'definitive' answers to this thread, before the Q hits the streets.

completely unrelated to the OP: I can just click and like my own contributions - well done, DPR!

I read and comprehend quite well. You know exactly what you are doing in "just asking a question" and I am simply helping you comprehend your own inane repost of a just locked thread. Signing off.

You press the shutter release....
