I have just purchased the Olympus C750 and am trying to find out if
there is a way to have the sound recording turned on by default? It
seems to reset to off.

I don't own the 750, but the menu system of the 750 in the review
seem similar to the 5050's system, so you could try the following:
1) turn sound on
2) turn the All Reset option off (from the Setup tab)
or alternatively you can set the settings you want in one of the
MyMode settings of your choice.

that did the trick.. now that I know what the "All reset option" does.

--David, Where did you get it and what did it cost?Be careful though, that you don't forget to leave some setting from
a previous session and start shooting afterward in that mode. I
find that I sometimes forget some setting or another, and then mess
a few pics up because of that. But this is what the MyModes are
for, which i would also encourage you to explore.
Anyway, do enjoy your camera =) If only it were released last
December... I may well have bought it instead of the 5050 =)
