Manual focus is hard.

The easiest way to quickly focus MF lenses.

yepp, got it and it works great so far on the M. I have tested it with my old Konica 35mm/2.8 and 52mm/1.8. Took me a little time to get used to the ML in EosM form, and still need to make the peaking more visible than the initial settings makes it. But - what a tool when talking about focusing old manual glass!

I put my Nikon 100mm f2.8 on an adapter and can't get the shutter to trip. Haven't found a menu item that sets MF as opposed to AF. It does say MF on screen I guess by default. Could the adapter be faulty? I've never had this happen on any other mirrorless. Am I missing a secret setting of some sort. I find nothing in manual or menus relating to this. Getting the adapter to seat properly was tricky but it finally clicked.

If you have not found it, there is a page in the Canon meny where you find User functions (C.Fn) or something. It is 7 different on off kind of selections- the seventh is pictures without lens - tick it on and you should be fine.
