All portrait pictures that have not been posted elsewhere are welcome. So the portraits you post are not required to be taken during this week. Of course if you consider this thread a motivation to take more pictures and post them, all the better!

All systems are welcome.
If non-Sony, please indicate the system.

When posting pictures please reply to the original post. It would also be nice if you would change the subject of your post with a title to your picture.

Feel free to post your comments as a reply to the posted picture, we all like your encouragements and it helps to keep the post alive.

Happy shooting!!

Went through some older ones and liked this non-posed shot. Difficult getting it out of PS/LR with the right lighting though, hope this one works, I was afraid I was going to over process it as long as I've been going back and forth.

That's a nice one. However, when I clicked on 100%, the tint changed dramatically giving it an ugly green cast - something to do with the dpreview algorithm I guess :(

The good news - the original in your gallery looks fine.

Thanks, and I noticed that too, was hoping it was just my setup but I guess something in my workflow is a bit off. I was playing around with Adobe RGB over regular sRGB and somewhere it goes off (ARW -> LR -> PS, save as jpeg (downgrades to 8 bit))

I always use LR to export my jpg's as it does a very good job in translating the colours specifically for the output device (print/screen/...) you choose.

All it needs is the correct colour profile.

Good job. The warmer cast is very effective.

Lovely eyes :)

I was out with a fellow dpreviewer (Jamie Tux) on Saturday and I was trying out a few of his lenses on my new camera.

Yes the hair was really that colour - 135mm ZA

This photo was taken a couple years ago. I've always thought there was something wrong with it but could never figure out what. Can I get a few opinions on improvements?

Hi Lance,

I like the girl but the poster is too distracting - I don't think it's too bright - but it's a very strong and warm colour and it captures my attention more than the girl.

I think that this might be what's bugging you too. You could try a black and white conversion or doing local adjustments on the poster to tone it down a bit.

Thanks James, you could be right. I'll give it a try and see what happens.
