Good Morning!

I already had "hope" last night - as I could see on the live image not only the polar cap and the dark parts of the high terrain but the clouds in the west and east too.
;-)

And this morning I just checkt 5 Videos and processed this one...I am happy - don't think you can get more out of a just 15'' small Mars this season with an 10 inch telescope in a small city where I do llive.

Nice capture Michael. It appears as if Mars still shows one of its blue haze weather phenomena, though reduced from your previous image. That is a notable event for this year's apparition. You did well in capturing that. Most people don't realize how hard it is to get images of the planets. Their angular sizes are so small, putting optics, atmospheric seeing and photographic techniques to a severe test. The Moon is by far an easier target. While I have done some planetary imaging in the past, I haven't felt moved to give it a try this season. Thanks for sharing your successes!

Of course - 1.5x drizzle.

I'm a happy camper...
;-)

Good Evening Russ!

Yes - it's quite difficult, especially Mars - by far harder to achieve good results as with let's say Jupiter...and thx for your kind words.

kind regards,
