I'm sure many have decided upon news of the V3 and its specs whether they should stick to the N1 or change to/supplement with another system. Regardless, I wish everyone the best, and now invite you guys to choose just one favourite photo for each N1 camera you own. Whether you're upgrading from a V1/V2 to a V3 or a J1 to a V2 or anything else, feel free to show those photos. I'll get the ball rolling, my favourite 2 photos, first from the V1 and the second from the V2. By the way, this isn't easy for me as I've quite a few photos I really like from these wonderful cameras...

I learned most of what I know of photography on the 1 series. Haw great memories of the system.

Same here. My previous efforts were all through compacts. Really cool photos btw.

Definitely not my best V1 shot technically speaking, but this is the one dearest to me, perhaps because I never expected to capture such a shot with the V1.

I like the ethereal effect!

I like when we show our favorite photos. It gives me the opportunity to see the real 'art' and talent that many of you have. The attached photo is not the most beautiful of subjects (unless you happen to be a male turkey) but it is one of the photos that I consider the best of my brief V1 collection. I tend to be a more technical shooter...looking for detail and clarity. So this shows up (to me) to have some pretty good detail for a Nikon 1 camera. Not as good as my D800 for capturing detail but still pretty good in my opinion for an outfit under $600....(V1 +70-300VR). Shot at 648mm FOV and cropped. And yes this is a female wild turkey....not in a cage or pen.

Aspenz and Jacques in one thread, what a great company! I am an admirer of both of your brilliant photography, Friends. I bought an A7 (an incredible full-frame mirrorless) for 2013 Christmas, but my daughter again, grabbed my A7 set a couple of weeks ago, and now I am left with my beloved V1. Now, she has both a V1 and the A7. After using the A7 for a couple of months, it's very hard to come back to V1, honestly.

Anyhow, here is my contribution

Love the leaf photo above, lots of other good ones as well. Makes me want to try out some landscape stuff.

I've only been taking pictures for two months so don't judge the technical aspects too harshly.

Thanks Miki for your kind words !

Your flower shot is beautiful with the soft pink in it - really looks like spring :-)

I read this to mean the thread is only for people upgrading or changing systems. Well, I'm not doing that anytime soon but it doesn't mean I won't in the future, so I will contribute. I can't come up with one favorite so I will pick a favorite.

So you break the rule of one picture, only, at once!

Dear me!

I'll post something tomorrow!

Thanks.. really flattered. What do you mean it's difficult to go back to the v1, is it the iq difference only or do you like that whole package better?

I don't plan on upgrading to the V3 (at this point, anyhow) or on leaving the N1 system. I'll just enjoy my V2 for as long as it keeps me happy. I'm quickly coming up on my one year anniversary with the V2 and it's rather nice to not be concerned with what I "should" buy. Of course I like to read about the latest and greatest, but I enjoy photography much more now that I've rid myself of GAS. Anyway, here's two pictures as per the rules (one shot with the V1 the other V2)

I wouldn't say this is a good shot technically, but it reminds me of a fun trip I went on with my wife to Hong Kong, so that pretty much makes it a favorite. Taken with the V1 & 10mm f/2.8

My wife was enjoying the view of a little man made pond filled with ducks when I snapped this picture. Probably nothing special for any of you, but it's one of my favorite. Taken with the V2 + 32mm f/1.2

Thanks for looking!

My V1 is one of the most "fun" camera I've ever own and used. Some new and old photos taken with my V1. Chicago (the weather was cold, windy and very cloudy but the V1 performed great).

Wow what a great thread, awesome images. I am not planning on upgrading or abandoning my V2 anytime soon. The image below was taken today, I particularly like the clouds, nice clouds are hard to come by for most of the winter and spring is almost upon us.
