XF 27 lens and XT1

I attached the 27 to the XT1 today and the camera suggested a firmware update of the lens. I went to Fuji website and after doing a search there and on this forum could not find an update for this lens.

I had been able to update all my other lens without a problem.

Any suggestions as to where I can find this update.

This is what I found. But I would confirm the FW version you have to see if you need the update. I would try to use the camera with out updating anything just yet.

Just because their is a update does not mean you have to do it

There shouldn't be anything special about the 27; the update is in the same area as the other lenses. I updated to v1.1 for the 27 when I got it, for LMO and PDAF compatibilty with my X-E2 and it should be the same for the X-T1. For some discussion you could visit this link:

In this case, I think the "You need to update your lens" message means "We, Fuji, would like you to create a firmware update for this lens of ours!"

They do that for one in every 10,000 units to invite a "lucky owner" to be part of their tech team. Congratulations, you're it! Get crackin'.

Thanks- all updated. It seems to be snappier on the XT1 than the X Pro1
