Hey folks,

Here are a few shots while wandering around the Getty Center Museum (which I've shot before) plus a few random images during a very quick walk through Chinatown near downtown L.A.

Very nice shots. The colors in #6 are incredible. I won't ask how close to "reality" they are; I just really like it the way it is.

If you don't mind, is #2 a true b&w or something else? It kinda looks like mostly, but not completely desaturated, or maybe my eyes (or my monitor) are deceiving me.

Greg,

Hello. I'm KLB over at The Gear Page and recognize your name. I have seen some of your excellent photography on that site. You have a great eye and I like all these photos. This is my favorite image in this series. It is so clever. The three head shadows on the wall are awesome, and because there are same the number of people walking below, it makes me try to connect the shadows to the people, but of course they don't! I have a black X100s is on the way which should arrive next week. I am really stoked about it! If Fuji had released the black version at the same time as the silver one I'd already have it in use. Cheers and please keep sharing your creative photography (and music, too!)

Whiteyblack, thank you! The #6 silhouette image had the colors saturated a bit using Nik Software but it was a pretty dramatic sunset that evening. Got lucky with it and the cloud veils as well.

Image #2 has a hint of a blue/green hue added to it, again using Nik Software. I was just playing around trying something a bit different but still trying to remain understated.

Hi HomoSapiensWannaBe (KLB),

Many thanks! And nice to see you here too. For that shadow photo I had to wait a few moments to get the right lineup of people into the scene. Glad you like it.

Congrats on your new black “stealth” X100s! I really love this camera so much and hope you enjoy working with it as well. Would love to see your Fuji images once it arrives and you settle in with it. Cool !

Here are a few more Getty Center images from a previous shoot. It's such a great place to explore as there are so many various textures and scenes that capture the great light. Plus the incredible art installations that you can get lost within. So much beauty there.

Another excellent series! I would like to photograph the Getty Center someday.

In #3 I would tone down the bright and somewhat distracting "V" lines on the bottom left and right corners using the Lightroom adjustment brush or similar means. Great photo otherwise! Cheers.
