I put the X-E1 on ebay. Prices available for used is so low I may keep it as a second camera. You can easily buy one for under $400. I'm shooting for a little more but even so, after shipping, ebay fee, PayPal fee, I'd net near $400. Body only by the way. It's even worse on Amazon.

Just to let those who are considering buying or selling used what the market seems to be. This is not an ad to sell. I know that's another forum.

I think 50% of current new price is a good place to start. Pricing that way can get you a sale pretty quickly since it is usually way less than most are asking. Go with the going price and you might wait a month or more (or forever). Depends what you want I guess.

Personally I like the choice made by the previous poster: they bought a lens instead. And, I'd love to have a 23mm lens to add to my meagre X-E1 lens arsenal! What a great lens!

It's like a car… once you drive it off the lot it's already depreciated by 25%. You learn to use it and enjoy it until the next best thing comes out and you feel a need to upgrade.

Human beings are the best rationalizers on the planet. Your plan to keep E1 is valid for you, not me.

I do shoot action and the T1 will do action. The EVF works and looks better. The focus points are both phase and contrast and do work. The extra dials and buttons allows quicker access to what I use. The tilt screen has already helped me get a shot. All in all the E1 was a slug for me.

Enjoy your new lenses, I'm off to shoot some surfers.

I held back when the X100s launched and also the X-E2 - but the X-T1 was too much for me to for me to let pass by. It may be essentially X-E2 in its DNA, however there is so much more that is on offer that I couldn't resist biting the bullet this time. I will keep my X-E1 as a 2nd body for a while and see how this works out. Unfortunately what also seems to affect body resale value is the ability to purchase much cheaper as a kit. This rules out potential buyers that are new to the X system.

Similar pattern here. I tried out the E2 but held off. The speed boost it offered just didn't seem worth the $$$ to me. It's essentially an E1 on steroids.

The T1, on the other hand, with its improved EVF, tilt LCD, extended manual controls, and remote WIFI control, did seem to offer the additional value that made it worth the $$$. I got used to using Panasonic's articulated LCD in the M4/3s world to achieve different angles, especially low ones. The tilt screen in itself was a big +++ to me on the X-T1.

Then don't complain that it's so cheap to sell it now ;-), everyone knows that. Furthermore, a used XE-1 is just around $300ish now, not even $400, and it worths many times more than that when you need a second body to avoid changing lenses.

For anyone interested, my E1 body just went for $350 on ebay before fees. I'll net near $300.

It feels like I used it as a trade in on the T1 which makes the T1 feel like it cost that much less.

Only took 4 weeks.

In a year the XT-1 most likely will yield the same value used. the longer the camera is out without replacement it hold value.

That is why it is important to watch trends and rumors and you may have to replace the body more often.

I did the same thing too. I got X-T1 in the first week it came out. I put the X-E1 on eBay and it was sold for $375. After eBay fee (10%!!!) and Paypal fee and shipping cost, I netted pretty close to $300.

However, I think it's a better call than to wait for another 5-6 months. I don't have a second Fuji body now. Sometimes, I regret selling the E1. I still have the X100 which I may never sell since it's the one that brought me to the 'bright side.'

T1 in, E1 not leaving. Simply not worth the hassle of selling the X-E1, which is scratched and brassed and anything but the minter people want to buy. Anyway, it has been my joy for nearly 17 months and will do nicely as the second body from now on - it's in the bag with the 55-200 on it while the X-T1 gets dreamy with the 56.

Today was the last day I would mess with it as I'm going on the road tomorrow. But, this last of 4 bids came in and turned around in under an hour or else I would have the X-E1 as a second unit.

It's still a useful and good camera. I got lots of great photos with it.

I bought my XE-1 for $799 with 18-55mm lens which is selling for $694 at B & H! Thats a lot of camera for $105.00. Mine's not going anywhere.

I'm keeping my E1, it will have the Fuji 27mm 2.8 pancake mounted as an everyday carry camera.
