For me the last is easily the most successful as it adds a touch of the photographer's art to the subject.

Yeah, this was a tricky one. Wanted it to have a touch of early morning gloom about it. I like desaturated HDR, but still like it to look like HDR. Sometimes I go for the natural look but then I don't tell people so they don't have an anti-HDR knee-jerk. Anyway, be sure to tune in next week because this hoary old street shooter actually went out with.....a tripod! Took some night shots; I know that's your wheelhouse.I'd have made a few subtle changes in the developing were it my own, but that aside (because it's not) I think this is great.Avert your eyes now all you HDRphobes.
Hand-held HDR effort with an EPL3 en-route to work.
+1. I have a weakness for interesting reflections in still water. This one is exceptional. The contrast of the rather "scuzzy" alley with the beauty of the reflection grabs me.I can't explain why this gives me more pause than the others. I'm sure it's more than being about blue sky and water in a liquid state, though.

I'm not a fan of heights, either, but this bridge is really stable, and you'd have no problems. It's listed at 890' over the river. But the views are worth it. I'm wondering how long before someone jumps (bungee, paraglide, etc).Like them all - the first two add something, not just pics of an interesting building. The 3rd freaks me out, scared of heights 'n all. How high is that bridge for chrissake? I visited the Hoover Dam many years ago, ISTR swimming in one of the lakes nearby, possibly even created by it.

Thanks, Michael. I've been photographing him since he was born, and he's always been very skittish, flying away anytime I tried to approach, so I left him alone, but on this particular day he didn't seem to mind me, so I snapped away.Do you pay him to pose? Wonderful pictures, especially to get so close.
