What do you think if I put the watercolor tutorial on CD and offer it for sell? It’s a god one and I have put time and money in it. It’s to big for the web so I think a CD is the only way to go. It should sell for about 10.00 USD. The video is done and could ship by July 7 2003

Steve,

First let me say that once again you have produced a beautiful piece of art, you are quite talented. Secondly, I think selling your CD is a great idea, I'm sure you put a lot of your time into creating this tutorial and I know I'll buy it. Maybe you could also add your trimoon Art-Demo pages on the CD as well as an added benefit. I know its on your webpage, but it be nice to be able to see when not connected to the internet.

I think that would be great, a perfect solution.
I have been after Mike to do this with his axctions and tutorials.

I know you must get a lot of satisfaction with sharing your work and helping people as well as participating in this forum.

But, let's get real, you spend a lot of time perfecting your techniques and sharing, answering emails. . . . .

I firmly believe you should be compensated if for no other reason then to replenish your supplies and buy more goodies to experiment with.

There are quite a few individuals that sell their effects tutorials and none compare to what several here on dpreview do and share.

Go for it, at least $10 plus shipping. sounds like a deal to me, put my name first on the list when you are ready.

Great idea - I'd be interested if payment was by credit card or check rather than PayPal. That part of it could turn into a nightmare, Steve.

I think selling the CD is a fantastic idea. I have no problem with you making a buck for your hard work. And I know you have put a LOT of work into this, not to mention your setback. Please put me at the top of the list. When you tell me to send money, I will send immediately. Please, No PayPal. I would rather send cash in the mail than use them.
Thank you for all of your hard work.

You've put in some hard work. Careful you don't end up like that old UPS commercial.

Remember the company opened their website, and got 1 order (big cheers), then seconds later they got thousands of orders......

... but oddly enough, I would prefer paypal or Kagi or some other service. I think it would be costly for you to set up credit card payments otherwise and I would hate to wait for the turnaround time of sending a check and having it clear. I use PayPal on my site to sell event photos and it works fine.

Sign me up!! First thought on the image was that jeanette suggested a web site for canvas paper to Diane, I believe, and I saw they also had 'japanese paper' - I'm guessing this image, (as well as one earlier one) would look great on that type of paper. Paypal is fine with me, I prefer it.

Great job! Looking forward to July 7th.

Steve, speaking as an admirer of your work who lives outside the USA I have to say that, while I am more than happy to spend a few bucks to learn your technique, the thought of relying on snail mail to get a CD is disappointing.

If however you could arrange for folks to download the tutorial (for a fee) from your site then I would be a keen supporter!

Hi Steve,

Your flower is beautiful and I think $ 10.0 for the tut is ok. However please consider the people outside US, as me with poor English language knowledge. I would prefer to have a printed version to follow the steps. Believe me it is not easy doing tuts in a different language than the own photoshop version is. For me, a video with spoken explanation would be practically impossible to follow up.

The Tutorial is PS 7 based and needs no add-on to run just double-click and play. The video as a standard AVI (Great Quality) and for the Mac you can also use QuickTime (.MOV). All brushes, actions, new texture and more are Included. I’ll post more info this weekend.

Paypal works the best for me. I would be more than happy to pay for the top notch expertise you've been giving away for free.

Best regards, Pat W.

Steve, I agree with Diane. I do not want to buy through paypal because they have screwed up with my DH in the past and it took 6 months to resolve. If I can send a check, that would be much nicer.
