Just curious, it seems the overwhelming majority has not had their body shipped. I was foolish and didn't order mine on release day (Feb 2nd) and it hasn't even updated to tell me an estimated date yet.

I ordered the body only and have not yet received a ship date.

I preordered Jan. 28th and mine has not shipped.

I ordered within minutes of announcement from amazon. Mine is "preparing for shipment" with an ETA of Wednesday.

Ordered within minutes of release.

"We’ve started preparing your shipment. This process can take some time but does not change the delivery date"...which is Weds the 26th.

My credit card was charged today as well. Usually done when they ship.

I got an email Sunday early morning saying that my camera was shipped.

It will be in my hands on Tuesday.

I pre-ordered 1 hour or so after the pre-order button went live.

Instead of saying "Pre-Ordered", it now says "Not yet shipped." No email, no notice of shipping, no charge on the card.

I pre ordered on Jan 27th and it has been shipped.

Well I finally caved and did what many others are doing by going with the kit. I managed to get one from Amazon with an estimate of Friday. I'm disappointed in the way this whole situation was handled. I'm sure it wasn't entirely Amazon's fault, but it still gets on my nerves that something so popular was so poorly stocked.

Placed an order about 15-20 min after the announcement.

2nd body for me... the first one came from onecall.com. Was going to cancel my other one but co-worker decided to buy it from me.

I too had a pre-order with amazon for the body only. After waiting with no conformation, I saw a post in the comments section of FujiRumors a little bit ago stating that uniquephoto.com had the bodies in stock. I went ahead and placed the order and will have it tomorrow. I actually saved a little with not having to pay tax through amazon. Im going to leave my order in with amazon until I have received the body from unique.

I had pre-ordered the morning of January 28th. This morning I saw on Fuji Rumors that Amazon had the kit version in stock. I had initially preferred body only, but I had been considering buying a kit lens separately via eBay in early January. I cancelled my body-only pre-order in favor of the kit, and it has already shipped and will be here to tomorrow (yay Amazon prime). Only bummer is that this is the first purchase where I have noticed I have to pay state tax - its probably been assessed before, but you don't notice so much on a DVD.

Forgot this in my first post, but this roll-out isn't unusual based on my experience. Kit versions usually arrive at Amazon and other big stores before body-only version.

I pre-ordered body only on January 27th. Order is now showing "shipped" with a tracking number with arrival date tomorrow.

Order Received - Jan 28, 2014 4:41:19 AM PST (body only)

DELIVERY ESTIMATE Thursday, February 27, 2014 by 8:00pm

Yay!

I'm not sure I understand. Seems like some folks who ordered immediately after ordering became possible have either received their bodies, or will receive them shortly. Some others have not. You did not order yours on release day, but you think Amazon "dropped the ball?"

Fuji has said they underestimated initial demand by a factor of two, so supply is tight. If x number of orders are placed within hours of release, but Amazon only received 0.5x qty, how has Amazon dropped the ball by not filling orders with product it doesn't have? Seems like simple supply and demand to me.

Now if people who ordered from Amazon just two-three days ago are getting cameras shipped while others who ordered on release day are not, that sounds like a poorly-managed fulfillment system. Otherwise, it just sounds like you ordered a very high-demand item later than a lot of other people, so you have to wait.

And, FWIW, IME a higher-end camera like the XT1 does often sell more as a body only than in a kit w/lens, but that doesn't necessarily prevent the mfr from shipping more body/lens kits than body only. It is possible for Amazon or anyone to guess wrong and mis-order, I suppose. No crystal balls.

Not sure I understand why you're disappointed. Amazon and other large vendors have been saying 3/7 as the ship date forever. Here you are getting it a week early and you're disappointed?

Sure, other stores may have gotten it a few days early, which I think is a solid strategy for Fuji to get the smaller shops to stock and push Fuji in the long term, which seems to be Fuji's way of thinking.

My January 28th preorder just updated with an estimated delivery date of March 3-7th... "Super Saver Shipping"
