Thanks Orion, just a couple of random shots whilst having a coffee on the deck. I used white vignetting rather than black to calm the bright orange of the flower. I also cropped the original image 50% as well to further reduce the overall punchiness of the flowers colour.

I hope you've had breakfast. One of the semi tame magpies that scrounge from our table caught and devoured most of this Praying Mantis before dropping this offering in front of me. I suppose in magpie etiquette it would be a mortal insult to refuse the mantis eyeball.
