The plaster casts (well - fibre glass) come off my arms this week so I'll soon be able to start shooting again. Amazing how quickly time passes. In the meantime, I've been just about able to rework some old stuff.

I finally had a chance to do some early morning shooting yesterday and was treated to a lovely sunrise.

This was my first time trying the HDR function on the E-M1/12-40 combo. This was a handheld 5 shot burst (2EV between each shot), combined in Photoshop CS6 Merge to HDR and tweaked a bit.

I was pleased with how well the resulting image actually represented what I saw, which is really tough to do photographically.

I'm still learning how to process these, and hopefully I can tame the noise a bit more on the next one.

Had to select / insert all seven images of my previous post individually or it posted the last image seven times. And then my 2nd image came out in landscape mode when it should be portrait ...

Nice colours - although if you want to get into HDR I'd recommend Photomatix.

Hi,

Back when using 43 system I often used the 40-150mm, but I have never used the M ZUIKO 40-150mm that I received together with my EP-L1, Its silver, plastic .... really plastic. Never say never, this week I test it, and it really is an ok lens. It be used more from now on that's for sure.

thanks for looking, and enjoy your weekend.

Was going through some locational photograph, and liked this one. I took this reflection of the old ore dock in Marquette Michigan with my trusty GF1 and 20mm in August 2012.

To put it in context, I am adding a couple of photos of the old ore dock taken at the same time.

Yup - not many m43 lenses are bargains but that comes close.

Just fantastic - well done. The kids are full of character but I think the last two are even better.

Good but there is a clear winner in these; #2 is very special, a good shot made even better by the wet pavement.

The last is a powerful image.

I'm on a work assignment in Atlantic City, installing stuff. :) Took these from the boardwalk.

Revel hotel is gigantic, I'm perpetually lost
