The two Zeiss Touits 32/1.8 & 12/2.8 look pretty good from what I can see in the sample imagesTitle says it all. What is the consensus on highest quality native lens for the Nex system, regardless of focal length.
I have my reasons for asking, but don't want to poison opinions by sharing at first.
The sharpest lens I have is the SEL50F18, although the SEL24F18Z is pretty close.Title says it all. What is the consensus on highest quality native lens for the Nex system, regardless of focal length.

I think this is probably the sharpest overall lens for the A7 or A7r.1) FE 55/1.8Z - easily the best
Agree with that5) E 50/1.8 OSS - just all round great IQ, but probably the biggest focus hunter of all my lenses
The corners are smeared because it is a cruddy lens, this lens is optically corrected, not digital.9) E 16/2.8 - decent little performer but yes, the corners are smeared from digital correction which defeats the purpose of most WA photography
For APS-C, if you go by DXOMark ratings, it's the SEL50F18.
...and should be a stellar performer on APSC NEX also.I think this is probably the sharpest overall lens for the A7 or A7r.1) FE 55/1.8Z - easily the best
also agree - probably the best APSC lens I own. I've tried it on my A7R in crop mode and it does a decent job there too.Agree with that5) E 50/1.8 OSS - just all round great IQ, but probably the biggest focus hunter of all my lenses![]()
I must have a better than average copy of this lens as I've been generally happy with the results (though don't shoot it often). When the weather gets a bit better, I'll have to try it out on my NEX 7 against my OM24mmf2.8 on the A7R - something to look forward to ;-)The corners are smeared because it is a cruddy lens, this lens is optically corrected, not digital.9) E 16/2.8 - decent little performer but yes, the corners are smeared from digital correction which defeats the purpose of most WA photography

I agree with Eric 101 %: the best lens always is the one that is on the camera when a wonderful picture comes into view. All one has to do is compose with what is on the camera and a good picture shows up in LR.The one you can afford and matches the field of view/aperture you need.Title says it all. Your question is much too vague. I have no idea what your measure of quality means.
