Odd FL range, not even constant f/2.8 and massively overpriced in my opinion at £849 in the UK. I have the 31 and 77 Limited and about to order a 43, I wouldn't touch this 20-40 thing.I could be happy if I would see sharp images, but RAW files from DA20-40 which I've converted excite mixed emotions...

And won't until it's had several laboratory tests. Everything else is just empirical data, including owners who might have sample variations of a new lens, and/or flawed testing technique. It's still on my radar, but I won't jump in until this lens has been thoroughly tested.
The first part of your comment doesn't make you an expert. While your Sigma might match it in terms of your focal point sharpness or your so called OOF discolouration, it can't match its colour rendition and micro contrast, not to mention its desirability.
