I am so thrilled with this lens. I have been using the FA31mm and FA43mm since my purchase of the K5 from when it was introduced so I am familiar with quality and this has it.

Enclosed, I think, are straight from camera jpgs, no anything else whatsoever.

bell focused on top center, tap on cold.

Overall, I like what I'm seeing. Thanks for posting the photos.

Hard to say that it's fantastic...As for me - it's not even sharp.
Based on the DA20-40 I have in my hands ;-)

I could be happy if I would see sharp images, but RAW files from DA20-40 which I've converted excite mixed emotions...

I was ready to order DA20-40, but changed my mind at the last moment.

The full-sized photos didn't impressed me...:(

Odd FL range, not even constant f/2.8 and massively overpriced in my opinion at £849 in the UK. I have the 31 and 77 Limited and about to order a 43, I wouldn't touch this 20-40 thing.

Does it even cover FF?

Well I think I have post some ;)

They're sharp at the focal point with a narrow DOF and I can't see ANY OOF discolouration so it's good, but I think my lowly Sigma 17-70 could have matched it on these shots.

Here is one at 40mm wide open with modest sharpening applied - hard to say this is not a sharp image . . .

And won't until it's had several laboratory tests. Everything else is just empirical data, including owners who might have sample variations of a new lens, and/or flawed testing technique. It's still on my radar, but I won't jump in until this lens has been thoroughly tested.

Depth of field was 4 inches so not all of the image can be sharp, only the center of the garment where focus was. I took that shot from 2.5ft away at f8. It's sharp where I am and as sharp if not sharper than my FA43mm

The first part of your comment doesn't make you an expert. While your Sigma might match it in terms of your focal point sharpness or your so called OOF discolouration, it can't match its colour rendition and micro contrast, not to mention its desirability.

Yes....It's really sharp photo. Thank you! :)

It seems to me that some users have decentering copies of lens or AF problems.

I decided to buy DA20-40 after any serious reviews.
