Yes its true, I went with Fuji for a lighter system. I need one too, damage to lower back and hips from a previous accident makes carrying more than 1.5 kg in a shoulder bag or 8kg in a rucksack painful after a couple of hours.
The Fujis were great. Initially. Then I realised I was saving so much weight I could take two bodies to reduce lens changes. Hell, only an extra 400g. Then a tablet, well need something to do on the train, and its only 280g. And then I found this amazingly compact tripod that fits IN my rucksack and works really well with the Fujis...

Ok its 1.14kg, but nothing much lighter works that well anyway. And it does work. Really well actually (and they are a lot cheaper than in this review, around £100 now).
Oh darn, with the waterproofs and other odds and ends I am back up to the 8kg mark again.
On the upside, I have a lot more stuff with me than before and a much smaller rucksack. I guess I just like going for the max.
But it is nice to go out some days with just the Xpro1 and 23mm.
