Just cruised through the Sony Store in Hong Kong this afternoon. All a7 and a7r variants are in stock, but no lenses are available. They anticipate lens stock in mid December.

i went today to both sony store and got the same outcome... plenty of stock of A7/A7r but no lens available...
instead, you should go to a NON sony store and ... easily you will find both body and 35mm lens..
just bought a A7r+35mm in to wing Shing PS store oustide D3 exit of MRT mong Kok station
they have same official sony price for both products, but i've got a 32gb Spny SD card + extra spare battery for free.
Interesting. Both seem to be selling well, but the A7r preorder quota filled before A7 quota.
this is the only coupon i've found in the boxxiceman7,that's madness...That's logistics....Just cruised through the Sony Store in Hong Kong this afternoon. All a7 and a7r variants are in stock, but no lenses are available. They anticipate lens stock in mid December.

That would seem to be an address, more specifically, that of Sony HK's office. If my Chinese is holding up. Interesting that its in simplified characters even though you bought the camera in HK.this is the only coupon i've found in the boxxiceman7,that's madness...That's logistics....Just cruised through the Sony Store in Hong Kong this afternoon. i can't translate thoughshould i ask something to the store ?
No worries about the lenses. These A7s are made for legacy glass. While it's very important to go for a good adapter (Novoflex) the A7s make old quality optics shine.Just cruised through the Sony Store in Hong Kong this afternoon. Why is America not shipping cameras yet ? ... but the rest of the world is ?
Agree. I have tried some of them such as Canon FD 85/1.2 SSC Aspherical, Alpa 50/1.9, Leica C 40/2, Leica M 90/2, Minolta MD 24/2.8 and the 28mm, 35mm Angennieux. Images coming out (even jpeg) are much much better than A7 - sory, not yet have time for posting images. Usable up to ISO1600 (I can only tolerate ISO < 800 for Nex & using same set of lenses). No worries about the lenses. These A7s are made for legacy glass. I changed my order from A7r to A7 hoping that I could use my very very excellent Biogon 21/4.3 CRF lens -- it produces severe blue shift in Nex 7. I am wrong, the blue shift is still there though it is of lighter color, occupies lesser area and produces less smearing of corner sharpness. It still needs to be "cornerfixed". However, it is perfect with Sony's CZ 16 - 35/2.8. So, not all legacy wide angle lens can work well even in A7.I'd grab a good Minolta 50mm or Biogon or Sonnar from eBay and start enjoying this camera, without having to wait for the "official" optics.
