So here I am in Stockholm for 3 weeks with my GX1, and no battery charger.

What would be a likely place in Stockholm to pick up a Panasonic battery charger? I may as well get one with a local plug, I come here often enough.

If you have the same charger one gets here, it handles our 220 Volts as well as 110 Volts. It's only the plug on the cord that is different.

I don't have a GX1 myself but this seams to be the charger?

On one of the pictures you can see the marking 110-240 Volts.

Then if I'm not mistaken, this cord would fit (Clas Ohlson stores are in several locations here in Stockholm, see their website for the nearest of where you are):

I searched for the charger on www.prisjakt.nu by entering the article number I found in the ebay add above and none of the stores in Stockholm had it listed as in stock, so I think just getting a new cord would be easiest if only the charger unit can handle 220 Volts.

Thanks all for the advice, gives me a good starting point.

So far the GX1 is holding out OK on the first battery, and I have 2 charged spares, so I may make it through the next 2 weeks without a charger.

What part of town are you staying in? Any one of these stores will stock Panasonic gear:

I dont think Rajala will have it. You can also try the electronics chains Elgiganten and Media Markt, they sell panasonic cameras but maybe dont have chargers in stock. Best choice I think is Scandinavian Photo. It's to my opinion the best photo shop in Stockholm, but a little off city center.

This is a shop in the center of Stockholm, on the south side. Very friendly and helpful people.

I would do 2 things

Explain the problem to them. you are a tourist.

1) ask them to charge your batteries for a minor fee while you go to coffeegeorge for a while. They sell all panas so they will have a charger of their own for sure.

2) ask them to order a charger. it should take no more than a day or two and you can pick it up in their shop.

done.

here is their info
