I'd like to see a 105 f1.4/1.8 eqv but would settle for a 135 f1.4/1.8 eqvI think the current X-lens lineup is really great, the only thing I do miss is some slighly longer primes like an 85mm (equiv.). So what's on your wishlist?
That would be a ruddy big lump of glass!I'd like to see a 105 f1.4/1.8 eqv but would settle for a 135 f1.4/1.8 eqvI think the current X-lens lineup is really great, the only thing I do miss is some slighly longer primes like an 85mm (equiv.). So what's on your wishlist?
The 85mm (equiv.) is coming next year, the 1.2/56mm !I think the current X-lens lineup is really great, the only thing I do miss is some slighly longer primes like an 85mm (equiv.). So what's on your wishlist?
probably none as 56mm f/1.2 will give you 85mm equivalent field of view.I think the current X-lens lineup is really great, the only thing I do miss is some slighly longer primes like an 85mm (equiv.). So what's on your wishlist?
Peanuts :-D85 will give the field of view equivalent to 127,5mm... 90mm will give 135mm.
Less expensive than Leica is a lens like this, if you can dispence with AF and OIS:I would like to see a 75mm f1.4 or f2.0 lens, because I like the focal length and do not have money to buy the Leica M versions...

What I'm waiting for is a 2.0 (or faster)/85mm OIS (135mm equiv.) ;-)
The poll options meant 35mm and not equivalent focal lengths, so for equivalent lengths the 1.5x multiplicator applies. And yes - I think OIS would have been useful for all lenses, but I don't know how much this will contribute to weight and size ....Are the options for the poll equivalent focal lengths OR do I multiply 1.5x to the options. If the latter the lenses IMO should all have OIS.
So, if the numbers are already converted than the 85 mm is already soon to be in existence. Fuji has the 56 mm 1.2 which is the 85 mm equivalent. The poll options meant 35mm and not equivalent focal lengths, so for equivalent lengths the 1.5x multiplicator applies. I wish people would not do this. I own Fuji 18mm and 35mm lenses, not a 27mm and a 53mmm.Sorry - I wanted to use the 'normal' notation:
So 'XF 85mm' is meant to be approx 135mm with the X-Sensors...
Please excuse the created confusion!

I've used formats ranging from 3.5x5mm up to 300x375mm and always state the actual, measured focal length of lenes. I might include a FF equiv value in parentheses (FF Xmm) in a general forum but can't see the point in a format-specific one like this.
For the record, I'd like a 105mm (FF 158mm) f:2. OIS would be nice, but not essential.
