In-your-face, discomfiting art. Catches the viewer off-guard.

…on a grand scale, in Cappadocia:

I took more shots there which I made into a movie:
.

This is a movie from video clips taken on a balloon ride over the region:

The video has good pace and variety; the music seems appropriate, and the views are informative and artful. It's a special treat to see the interior of these habitations.

When I drove home work this evening, I couldn't rest to try take some long exposure shots near a gas station. This is the result:

Dutch highway a58, long exposure
Dutch highway a58, long exposure

Personally I am quite satisfied.
Terrific. Highway a58 as aortic life-blood of the region. Best use of color I've seen recently. Outstanding composition. Thanks for posting this. :-)

Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art.

Thank you very much. I think it's certainly a unique and fascinating region.

the phoenix

carizi's cloud painting has really stirred my interest, luckily, i havent deleted these old pics ...

Thanks Eric & Zin. Yes Hades & Poe do come to mind. Sure not a place for after dark!

:)

That's a big nest zin! Like the cartoonfx.

Hope you did not disturb them! Or things get nasty!

Nice Dez; she almost pops out of the frame. Maybe she should slow down on the red wine! Just kidding! ;)

Nice one Tim. The pattern does not predict good things. When sky turns greenish better take shelter!

Taken with the FZ30.

Mr Ichiro Kitao of Panasonic, please update the FZ50. The ergonomics in a superzoom remain unsurpassed.

#1. Santa and the herd are really Leaning In. Coming soon to a rooftop near you.

#2. I was thinking more Buzzard, but OK -- Phoenix high-balling it for Flagstaff.

#3. Not seeing the mummy here, but the colors and apparent volume of the cloud mass are good.
