Those look very nice indeed and it is fun to be able get such shots. I especially like how the background colors in #1 complement the pigeon's colors.

That lens produced some good shots.

Not too shabby at all from that "consumer grade" lens.

I donated my DA 55-300 to a niece, along with my old K7 body and 18-55mm. I thought I'd not miss it, having the Bigma and DA*300mm for longer stuff, but I actually do miss it as it was such a great lower weight option for general walkaround stuff.

Might think about getting the new DA 55-300mm HD version that is now out to replace it sometime soon. :)

The Pigeons are nice but the Sparrows are sublime!

Lovely images all.

Sharp enough for me, that's the sort of quality I get from my copy....more than acceptable and the new HD version should be a peach.

House Sparrows and Pigeon's.......could be mistaken for New Zealand??

The DA55-300mm with WR/HD is a compelling light weight option for travel and or to keep things small, light. One day I will switch to it. I have the DA50-200mm WR for bad weather so something has to go.

Thanks for looking.

Nice shots, my favorite is #1.

Michigan USA.

I wonder what the HD coating will do to the lens that have it applied? Will it even be measurable? The WR does show Pentax listens to its customers wants.

Thanks for looking.

Some backyard wildlife or birds to be more exact. Taken for fun, not to show anything technical.

having fun again with one of my fav lens the DA55-300mm.

No super sharp, but a pic does not always have to be sharp?
