This Red-shouldered Hawk is a frequent visitor around our neighborhood.

Yes, I love the K5II and DA*300 combo. The lens is very sharp, I just wish there was an affordable 500mm prime. Something along the lines of the Sigma 500mm f/4.5. Would be nice it Pentax had a 1.5 converter too, that would help a lot.

This bird is a regular in the neighborhood so there is an even chance you'll get to see him when you get down. About time to firm up plans for our trip.
