So like no fz250 there will not be the sx60?

Canon USA has a press conference scheduled for Sept. 21st. Maybe we'll know more then...
 
I am just waiting to hear if an sx60 will be available soon. Leaving on a trip in mid October and plan to buy the sx50 if there is no sx60 available or the differences are too minor to pay more for the newer version.

But even if an sx60 is announced, it might not be available right away. Oh what to do.... Probably get the sx50....
 
Personally I'd prefer more seldom, real upgrades than just cosmetic changes, like some 2.8 or even 2.7 lens (like SX40) and of course more zoom, not more wide angle, like others ;) , all with fast AF and at least the IS of SX50, if not even better :) !

Most important, a very good EVF along with the faster lens.
 
The sx50 is an awesome camera, just as great if not a tad better than the sx40 which I thought was hard to beat to begin with.


The extra zoom, higher res LCD and a tad faster focussing make it worth the upgrade to me. Also I love the different compression/quality modes i.e. fine/normal JPEG (the sx40 lacked this, and the LCD was of low res quality making it hard to tell if a picture was focussed properly after it was taken and viewed in review mode on the LCD).

Nonetheless I would have no problem grabbing my old sx40 on any given to day to go shooting with.

Of course it wil lbe interesting to see what Canon has lined up for the predecessor of the sx50.
 
I thought there was a Canon announcement scheduled for today, Sept. 21st. Must have been a bogus rumor. ??
