Thanks! Edited on my laptop but I had the brightness turned way down to save battery power & I went too hot with it than intended. Deciding if I like the mistake better.

Glad you like it! Used d-lighting to get most of the range, but I might have gone overboard in the edit bringing out the grain more. Has a slight HDR look to it that I'm not sure I like. Not a huge fan of HDR in general, but sometimes a subtle use of it is palatable to my eye.

skiphunt i have see all your fantastic picures (also all your blog's pics!) i like your style of photos!! i want a tips from a pro shooter like you! i have see that you have the two camera that i want to buy! i have a dslr canon eos600d and i need a portable alternative:

i want choose between a p7700 or a olympus xz1 (the nikon p7700 for 290 eur and the xz1 for 210).what camera should i buy???

ps i had also tryed olympus epm1 and i dont like the kit lenses

edit: i use often camera raw and i think i will shoot only raw

Thanks for the compliment!

That's a tough one. The XZ-1 is lighter, has a sweet lens... love it's b&w images, and more of a pocketable camera. The P7700 it sharper, higher resolution, much more fine control, has an articulating LCD (which I really love) and the video is much better.

I kept the XZ-1 because I love much of what it can do. However, if I could only have one I think I'd pick the P7700. I don't think I've even powered up the XZ-1 since I bought the P7700, but I may take it out for a spin soon just to make sure I want to keep it at all. Depends on what it's worth used I suppose. If it's not worth that much, I think I'd keep it for it's creamy black and whites alone.
