Green corner syndrome

Some shots I took recently with my DP1M, indoors, daylight, ISO650, need to be "Cornerfixed" to cure both vignetting and green corners. I've used this handy piece of software a lot for various camera/lens combinations, but it only works with DNG files. And the current version of Adobe DNG converter can't convert the X3F files from the DP1M, nor can it accept TIFs made from them via SPP. I've tried opening these TIFs in LR5, and then exporting these files as DNG, but although Cornerfix can open these, it won't recognise these much-converted files for re-conversion to a CF profile. Sandy, who wrote Cornerfix, thinks that the multiple conversion process results in a slightly off-standard DNG. He's no doubt right.

LR5 will of course open a TIF which has been saved from SPP, and can cure any vignetting, but as far as I can discover, there's no way of "de-greening" the corners.

Any bright ideas, or even solutions to this?

The corner fix program probably only can open Bayer DNG images.

The X3F to DNG conversion program probably makes a so called linear DNG file, which is an ordinary RGB file. Sandy's library probably cannot open that.

You could write a program that converts the data to bayer data :-)

No --- just kidding.

I am sort of surprised that Sandy does not understand why it does not work.

IIRC Cornerfix successfully corrects DNG files, produced from older X3F versions. These files are for sure linear DNGs.

Hmmmmmmm ... then I am surely puzzled.

Update - I've been in touch with Sandy, and he asked for a file that I'd double-converted to DNG. This I've sent him, and he will check if any errors have been introduced at the conversion stages. He was also of the opinion that Adobe was working on including X3F files into their DNG Converter.

I'll send another update when I know more.
