My cousin asked me If I could shoot his car, so lastnight we went out and found a closed country road (a few min's from my house!) and decided to shoot the car there.
I don't shoot car's tbh but I had a good idea what I wanted to do with it and well here is the shot.

Shot with a k5 and da*16-50 f2.8.

This image was made up of around 50 images, some long exposures to capture the landscape (the landscape is stitched as the car took up most of one frame), with the rest of the frames made up of images of the car itself while I walked around it with a strobe lighting it from different angles (to merge later) and also shots for the headlamps and the light on the ground.

I hope you all enjoy and it would be nice to know what people thing as I don't do this sort of stuff often.

You really brought out the beauty of the car with your idea and skills.

A very good photo and thank you for sharing it.

Very cool! :-D I do like the Mitzi Evo, it's a nice car to drive in

But this shot is TopGear worthy! Have you thought of submitting this or something?

There is no such thing a "Pro" level gear, just Pro level work.

Thanks!.

I wouldn't mind doing that, not sure where too though?

Just fabulous. At first glance I thought it was HDR, but your decription shows your dedication to getting it right. I am a fan of the auto mag "EVO" from Britain. Great car photography in it - this would fit right in. I agree it is magazine worthy.

One of my feeble attempts this last weekend. Porsche Carrera GT - beautiful and fairly rare 1 of 1270 worldwide

Thank you, that is a very nice Porsche!

I think I would like to shoot more car's, I learned a fair bit from it.. I even tried a few rolling shots by strapping my camera/tripod down in my boot and leaving it open and the camera on time lapse mode while we drove slowly and match speed. Some of them turned out ok too :)

Very good job and you show what even a small light can do,in digital.

If i can help i would have shot also ne frame with a gelled flash inside the car, maybe blue or even no gel to add more deama and push some detail of interior.

That's a good point, I didn't bother with the interior so much because my cousin had said earlier on the rolling shots to remove him so I had it in my head to keep the inside dark. ..

I should have grabbed a few anyway so I could have had the option later to add/remove as I seen fit.

Looks great, very professional; your cousin should be pleased.

Lovely image.

What a fantastic shot!

It could really find it's place on a magazine. Thanks for sharing it.

Kind Regards,

Spyros

A very nice picture. But a shooting technique looks a little bit complicated.

This is a brilliant photo!

A Tommi Makinen Evo 6?

I used to love watching him drive!

Looks good to me Meuh. Slightly HDR'ish on the background but not distractingly so.

Well done,

Rod

I love your people work (dark, but artistic). I think your style transfers well to this type of auto photography, too, as well as maybe having a broader market. You should get some exposure with this shot. I don't know anything about auto web sites, but maybe you could post this on one of them (with a big watermark of course to prevent kids with Subarus from "acquiring" it for their desktop background. :-)

Nice work!
