When using the X-E1 electronic viewfinder I am finding it very difficult to keep the horizon level. I have level assist indicator on and find I have to tilt the camera to the left of the vertical plane to make this level. It is as though the electronic viewfinder is not align properly. The back lcd display appears to OK.

Trying to tilt the camera past the vertical plane does not feel a comfortable way of holding the camera.

I would be interested in anyones thoughts on this matter.

I find that I use the grid lines more often than the level in the camera. I can usually find a horizontal or vertical element in the pic and compare that to the grid lines.

I do wish Fuji would change the level to be more like the level in the Nex 7 which shows both left/right and up/down tilt--- much more like an artificial horizon.

My own experience of the Electronic Level in the X-E1 is that it is not accurate. Either use the grid lines, trust your own judgement or if necessary, level in post processing

I tend to agree about that accuracy but I always use it. In critical, wide angle shots with a obvious reference point, there are several times it just did not look right. I also have a 2-axis hot shoe level that I can use when using a tripod.

Totally agree and though it is not entirely accurate, I still use it. Like yourself, I also use the 2 level gauges on my different cameras and can recommend them to others
