Sony a77 + Sound Recording

I have a shotgun mic, but I need a small recorder.

Mainly for basic stuff like 1 to 3 person interviews.

Can't invest in Lavs yet, but I need something better then in-camera mic.

Any recorders out there that you can suggest?

I wonder if a Zoom H1 would meet your needs? Put it on the person being interviewed and sync the audio during editing.
